When I called them they sent me in circles. Talked to a man he used a bunch of lawyer talk on why he wouldn't give back my money. They started blocking my calls when I called back. No one on yelps end seems to think it's a problem. They just tell there sales department to say whatever lies to get your card and then move onto the next sucker.
I cancelled them immediately and all I had were 2 customers and one review. Google never gave me any credits but they have only ever charged me my capped price of I honestly would have stayed with Yelp had they not lied to me and took so much money.
I'm just a small business owner. Yelp contacts you when you have several 5 star reviews. Next they pressure you into pay per click advertising. They proceed to remove the reviews from the site reasons unknown , then bill you a absorbent amount for clicks that never happened. Stay away from this company. I can't understand why anyone would even trust their review system.
Shame on you Yelp! Greed is a sin. It does not matter if the positive reviews were organic and completely unsolicited or encouraged when someone received good service - they will hide the review at the bottom as not recommended.
The negative reviews will remain at the top, unless you buy advertising and they offer to "clean up your page" for you as part of the deal. Crooks and scammers. No wonder it's the least popular review search platform. Do not take calls from Yelp.
They'll discreetly have you "commit" to ads and then will begin charging you money every single week. Not the same charge though. Not to mention, when you leave negative reviews for a business, all that business has to do is complain about it and yelp will remove it. Therefore, their data is not accurate and doesn't actually reflect the opinion on the consumer.
They allow businesses to have negative reviews removed. Their data does NOT fully reflect the opinion of the consumer. Products used: I'm uncertain what they were charging me for. They called and "helped" me complete my profile. I was never under the impression they would be charging me every week, with each charge increasing for "ads"?
Totally unimpressed. If you are a business owner or manager, stay away from Yelp! Do not claim the business on their website. Please read all of the negative reviews here, and other places. I have. It is all true, the same things happened to our business and then some. There is nothing you can do about it except stay away.
If you are a consumer, know that Yelp gives an untrue portrayal of many many businesses, scams them and your reviews are not properly handled. Yelp is evil. Yelp has broken their business policy and let things that are not in their standards to be done, further more they took money out of my account with out my permission based on a pushy sales man telling me that I had free advertising only to find I was robbed.
I really don't understand why they do not up hold these standards and do what any other person off the street would do to you when you would think it was ok to trust them.
Yet another day goes by with no work, or progress. Not even a phone call to explain to us why our pool will be delayed again. Yet my Friend that works for a major home builder says they worked all week on new construction.
That's because they the home builder can not close on the house unless the pool is complete. Choose wisely Blue Haven has not been open or clear on schedules, and will use every excuse why they can not do there job, instead of saying how it will be resolved. Tip for consumers: Choose wisely, they are not transparent.
We ha e had the worst experience, this was supposed to amazing and exciting, they ruined it for us. Products used: We went with every option they have, I does not matter, they do not care. By it's own declared practice of applying these labels, they are declaring that they will be judge and jury.
I hope they get sued into bankruptcy. Which, tragically, will not undo the damage they will have done to unsuspecting upstanding businesses. I should have done my research, I am usually smarter than that. RUN, don't fall for the crafty marketing guy that calls and tells you how great Yelp is and how you only pay for leads that actually get you business.
Shame on me, don't make the same mistake I did! If you get an unsolicited call, hang up and do your research before committing to anything. I hope this saves you some grief and money! I open a new business and called to ask a simple question and the woman who answered was distasteful. I made a simple reference that TripAdvisor allows you to control your photos without payment and to me and my business TA has way more pull and credibility. Either way she though she would try and insult me by telling me that TA was different than Yelp.
I didn't know lol. What kind of condescending bs is that! A company who gives you zero control if your business is listed on their page, they remove all good reviews and leave negative ones up tarnishing your reputation online. I do not recommend using yelp as a source of finding businesses. Yelp should be ashamed of themselves and ask how they sleep at night destroying good people's livelihoods.
Had been using yelp for years. The problem is what everyone else is saying - if it's bad, it tends to end up in the not added into the rating column. If it's good, it's there. I just deleted all reviews good and bad and will never go back there.
And, I can say that with confidence. The catch is this happens in many other places not here, which is refreshing So, we resort to no reviews except on sitejabber? Extremely pushy and disrespectful sales people. You gotta just hang up the phone because they will never take no for an answer. They've also hidden more of my reviews than they have published and claim to have no power to change that.
For one of my business they made me pay for their monthly service which I never did, so my positive review was hidden. They know they hurt small business, forcefully add your name to their listings, don't remove negative or false reviews! Obviously, there are no instances in which users with filtered reviews averaged more photos than those with visible reviews.
However, the raw data tells a very interesting story: there are very, very few filtered reviews posted by users with significant photo counts.
Of the 66 filtered reviews, the top five photo counts were 26, 21, 6, 5, and 2. Secondly, the other factors in play all definitely have some sway on whether a review is filtered. Setting a profile image and uploading a couple photos of a business requires very little time, and the data indicates that these have a significant impact on the likelihood of a review being visible.
The purpose of this analysis was to provide some actionable advice for business owners. You just need to encourage your loyal customers to not just write a positive review, but also to take a couple minutes to add a profile image and take and submit a couple photos of your business. Then, maybe nudge them to leave reviews for other businesses as well to get their review count up. These little extra actions can significantly heighten the odds that their review of your business will show up.
With a background in math and science, as well as a B. The timing of reviews matters. So, with that assumption in mind, what determines whether a Yelp review is filtered? Designing a data analysis of Yelp reviews. Restaurant: 4. Percentage of Users with Profile Images These days, social media has a huge impact on business and culture.
